Top Yolk 1957 Plunger
« on: 10.09. 2011 04:46 »
G'Day All

The last of our stuf from London arrived yesterday (including boxed Plunger) I have started a dry run, putting the bike together. And have found the top yolk has the hole for a steering lock ? Did the use them on the last of the plunger models ? If not does anyone have one a top yolk or the full set for sale ?

I'll post some pic's soon.

Hi Pato,

We have sister Plungers as mine is also a '57 (they couldn't have made that many so late in the production run).

Mine has a hole and lock in the top yolk (I recently found the set of keys!). I have no reason at all to believe that the yolks aren't the original one's fitted as mine was fairly unmolested when I originally purchased it (30+years ago).

Hope this helps.

G'day Brian

You are right, there is a provision on the frame head stem where the lock will engage. now i just need to find a locking mechanism.
