G'day all.
I see in his guest book RichardL in 2014 and TTJohn in 2013. I sent a PM and email a while back (6 months to a year) and got no reply.
No duTch, I think it was me giving him too much moderating work. LOL Now I HAVE to be good.
Cheers

For those who wonder how JulianM & The beast are doing, I have been visiting him last Saturday.
He is still alive and kicking and the place is filled with all kinds of cars from a couple of MG-T series over Alfa Romeo family cars to Bentley and Lagonda racing monsters all in various states of rebuild.
Regarding bikes, there's a nice BSA triple, an unrestored Gold Star scrambler, an Ariel, a couple of Norton's,Laverda's a Triumph Bonneville he's using as a commuter bike and some more
In his spare time he is building a Laverda twin racer with a special enlightened frame and engine with modified "squish" combustion chambers.
The beast is going to get upgraded with a TLS front brake as he finds that the standard 8" FWH is no match for the engine (why am I not surprised...?)
To be continued...

I felt cheated when Julian disappeared off the A7A10 radar. We were all following the build and hoping to see videos of the beast. I know he got involved in his own business and I understand he had other priorities, but, I felt rather disappointed. I'm sure other members must feel the same.  :-\

G'day all.
With everything in life circumstances change, life gets in the road, friends come and go. I only have two school friends that I see regularly (once a week).
There's been a few "special" builders come and go. Dan Daughenbaugh building the A7 salt flat machine and Briz building the A10 salty. just had a look at his site and there's mention of the forum.

"The guys on the A10 forum were super helpful.
One guy-Julian-who restores Lagondas for a living is building a street scrambler A10 has made his own billet crank & barrels. He offered to help us with cylinder drawings.
Another bloke, Muskrat, had a twin-carb ally head. Wanted to swap for a 4-spring clutch. Only problem, he's in OZ! But then Julian stepped in again and offered to send a spare clutch of his to Muskrat who could then send us the head. How generous was that? He wont even let me pay shipping."

Hopefully one day they might venture back to say G'day.
Cheers

Don't worry, he'll be back some day.
Can imagine running a bussiness employing 8 full time people and every now and then some dumbass dropping by and waste half of your Saturday don't leave much time for playing around a lot.  *smile*  ;)

Hey, just to be sociable, if you've been a member for a long time but haven't felt the urge to chime-in in a year (or like that), maybe just say "hello" so we know you are well or, at least, hanging in there. Nothing  official here, just feeling like we're losing touch with some good people.

Richard L.

Backing up Berger's post, we have this sticky topic as a place for the not gone to chime in and tell us so. Seconding friend Berger's point, let us know how you're doing. I  went on a search for "sooty plugs" and stumbled on so many names we haven't heard from in years. We'd like to hear from you.

Pedro,

Good to hear from you. Looking forward to you getting back up on it and posting photos from another Los Ocultos fiesta.

Name change? Didn't Los Ocultos also use the cow (bull?) skull symbol?

i actually founded both clubs. unfortunately it was a gringo member that destroyed los occultos so some of my mexican friends asked me to form a new club. it was on my personal patch[beezer geezer] before that. it's inspired by a goat skull that i got as an antiques picker from a farm in saskatchewan.my wife said one bullet hole for the patch was enough-jaja! this 2 meter high wall mural in our courtyard i gave to myself on my 74th bd.
