I've not been on here much since I moved to Hungary in 2011. I took the A7 with me but have not had it road registered, so have only ridden it on my own land. I did have a little Suzuki trail bike in Hungary for a while but since I moved to Croatia in 2018 I've not had a bike on the road. The rigid is not ideal for me these days as I suffer with a bad back. I want to tidy up the BSA and sell it but I wanted to first check the sludge trap, as I had never had the engine apart since I got the bike in 1995. I should have done the work before Brexit as it is now much more difficult to get stuff from UK. I was recently in UK for a social visit so I did get a set of piston rings but could not get a gasket set, as Draganfly were out of stock. The oil rings were stuck in their grooves and broke when I tried to get them out. I was surprised to find my 1948 A7 is still on standard bore and the pistons have the BSA logo. There has been fin repairs to the barrel though, so it might be one that was damaged early in its life and then put on a shelf for decades.
