Musky is down but not out.
« on: 05.07. 2011 08:30 »
Just though that I should pass this on as Musky is a regular poster.
His mate Bill posted this on the Made in England yahoo group today.

bit of bad news to report here ... headed off to our monthly meeting of the
shoalhaven classic club  yesterday with musky on his other A7... unfortunatly
travelling on the princes hwy heading north to nowra the  car in front of
musky for some unexplained reason braked heavily and musky collected the rear
corner of him bringing him down  . an ambulance was called and he was taken to
nowra hospital with three broken ribs and a punctured lung and has since been
tranfered to wollongong hospital..the good news is he has all his facilties
about him and can move his limbs but as you would imagine is pretty sore... i
was travelling about two hundred meters behind and about four cars back and only
saw a big cloud of tyre smoke and then the BSA on its side and musky laying on
the road, luckily he landed on the left hand side and didnt get run over.. Â
seeing your mate laying on the roadside in immense pain and being helpless to
do anything but make sure his
helmet is left on and he is not rolled on his back is something i dont wish on
anyone........ BSA is ok just a ding in the front guard and a bent footpeg...
lots to be said for wide bars and fixed pegs

However; it could have been worse so thank goodness it wasn't!!!

All the best mate; hope it is not too long before you can get the knees in the breeze again!

Get well soon mate!!!
This is bad enough, but could have been much worse. Chin up!

edit: Just a thought, shouldn't we move this to the member's chat section? Maybe he's not too happy with the whole world reading about his mishap?

Yes Trevor,

Please pass our best wishes onto him and I trust that this incident hasn't put him off riding in the future.  These things happen so easily and I consider myself to be extremely lucky not to have experienced anything like that.

I hope he has a swift and full recovery.

Good grief, I'm so glad this was "but not out." Get well soon Musky.  You have a lot of friends here and I'm glad to count myself among them.
