1953 A10 plunger
« on: 17.05. 2011 23:24 »
My very first question...... *smile*

Engine and gearbox are out of the frame. Gearbox is attached to the engine with two bolts at the top and two studs/nuts underneath. The gearbox mainshaft passes through the back of the primary, which is part of the engine case.

How do I separate the gearbox from the engine? The mainshaft cant slide out of the primary casing as the two studs underneath the transmission are in the way. Is it as simple as removing the two studs or do the innards of the gearbox have to come out?

many thanks

Just remove the two studs and the gearbox will come out easily. I dont use the studs on mine, replace them with bolts like the top two.
