Hi all
« on: 22.02. 2011 23:05 »
Just a quick hello to all. just joined the Forum and am very impressed thus far, im in Blackpool UK, and have just inherited a 55 A10 basket case from my father, i origionally bought this bike in 1976 along with a 61 A10, (£35 the pair, oh for those days now) the 61 was even a runner.  Im intending to do the rebuild using quite a few modern parts i.e. forks, brakes and wheels, so an appology straight of to all purists, my only defence is the fact i restored the 61 to origional spec, I'll keep anyone intrested updated with posts on how the mod's progress though no doubt most of them will have been previously achived, so may well be picking other members brains Regards Phil

Hi Phil/Abbo...

Nice of you to join us, Another lucky chap to have an A10 for so many years but I can never understand why in the form of a basket case for so long??

You mention your from Blackpool... Got me wondering if good old Joe Lucas was the mastermind behind the Blackpewl illuminations! somehow I don't think so. Enjoy your participation on the forum with us. Cheers!

We did Rod and thanks for pointing me here, in reply to LJ, the 55 was given to my father, broken down and stuck at the back of his garage while many of his other projects came and went, there it stayed until he sadly passed away last year, thanks for the welcome gents

I'm very impressed with the number of completed restorations on this board, not to mention all the recently started restorations.
The number of A10's that are actually on the road appears to be perhaps even increasing now!
