Hi all,  Anybody got a folding kickstart , horn, and mainstand for a 1954 A 10  I'm rebuilding.

Hi Ed,

I got a kickstart from jrpclassics on ebay which seems of decent quality. An Altette is a different matter - they're rebuilt by a chap called Taff the Horn (unsurprisingly Welsh) but prices are on the high side.

I bought a replica Altette - looks exactly the same as the original and works fine. I think it was about £70 - available in 6v or 12v versions.

Also I have heard horror stories about pattern centre stands which fall apart - no doubt why you are trying to find an original.

 *smile* Thanks for the info, managed to get a kickstart, and a temp mickey mouse horn, also heard about horror stories re centre stands, will keep searching for an old one that needs work, or just rely on the side stand.     Thanks again Ed

I had a centre stand from Sheffield Motorcycles (Bantam John) about 2 years it,s been in use without any problems. It was £50.
