Alternative to the Alton

[BSA500]

A while back I remember reading an article and spec sheet for another 'Alton' type alternator for the old bikes,I think they were a German company, can anyone point me to their website(if they still exist) just so I can compare for mayby future purchase?

Not necessarily relevant but when I bought my Velo a few years ago it had an Alton fitted. I reverted to a Lucas dynamo as the Alton was really noisy (and if you can hear it over a Velo exhaust it has to be!) and also needed an isolating switch as the battery discharged through the regulator when the engine wasn't running. I was distinctly unimpressed.

They're French. The guy speaks excellent interest, is very helpful, keen to receive any feedback on the product.
I have one on mine, no problems at all. You do need to fit an isolator switch, which I admit is a bit of a hassle.

That one looks very similar to the Alton.

Yep the power dynamo does look like it but its for the magdyno looks quite good as well though

My mistake you can buy an adapter plate for E3L bsa twins but it still only kicks out 75 watts max and seems more expensive than the Alton
