Takk for det! Translates to "thank you". What are the odds of a fellow viking is the head of a school for old british bikes?!

Lars,

Every schoolboy in Los Angeles (my birthplace) spends two years studying Scandinavian geography. It's a good thing, because no one has yet invented a system of interconnected computers that would have allowed me to quickly view a map of Norway where I could have located Bergen and Akershus.  ;) *smiley4*

(OK, so I'm a smart-a**)

Hi Lars,

Yes I'm in Finland. Don't speak Swedish....speak terrible Finnish, and I'm a Scot so my English is pretty poor too.
We tease the Americans about their knowledge of European geography, but I don't know how many states I could pick out on a map of the US.

Very cool looking bike!
Cheers,
Iain

Gday Lars,
Good looking bike, looks like a street fighter.
I read in the paper a brewery called Ngne (can't pronounce it) from Grimstad won the Australian International Beer Awards the other day.
Bl**dy vikings knocking US off in the beer awards.......outrageous!!
cheers

Hi, everyone! Seems like there's a lot of good guys here, at least a warm welcoming. Just got back from the garage after a bit of wrenching and a testdrive. It was GREAT!! It hasn't been started since september or something, just filled some gas on it,tickled it and it started at the first kick! Great machine. There's something that doesn't sound right though.. Seems like a rattling sound at the front of the engine, but I can't determine excactly where it's coming from.. Anybody who can recommend a good place to buy spare parts? Who ships to Norway, and don't charge your shirt off..

Happy riding, guys!
Lars

Is Sweden close enough?  www.basmotor.se

Else, a lot of them, like:

www.vintage-motorcycle.com (Austria)
www.srm-engineeringing.com (the big boy in Wales)
www.draganfly.co.uk (UK)
www.burtonbikebits.net (UK)
www.canddautos.co.uk (UK)
www.leighclassics (uk)
www.domiracer.com (USA)

The list goes on and on and everyone has his favorite, which I may have failed to list here.

Thank you, Richard! My first british bike, and I've been ripped off shopping motorcycle parts on the web once, and it's nice to have a list of serious companies. Never do business with Jeff's Cycles in the u.s. They're bandits!
Regarding the beer, I know of "nøgne ø", but my favourite beer is danish, not bad, right Jørgen?

G'day Lars,
That rattle might be the dynamo chain. When they get loose they hit the screw boss on the inner cover.
