Not that it matters now you have the correct one but if the one on it has mounting lugs top and bottom similar to the plunger one then it comes of a C series, if it has threaded pieces on the back that a plate bolts to then it is off a B or M, of course it may well have had pieces welded to it to mount it to the plunger.

So there is todays piece of useless information  *eek*

Nice bike by the way, plunger models are my "thing", I've got a few of them.

Hey Brian, thanx for the info. As someone said 'There is much pleasure to be gained from useless knowledge'  ;). Anyhow I don't think it's useless as I haven't a clue about C series machines. I have restored an M20 from a basket case state, so yeah, I definitely know how that tank look  *roll*. Glad you like the bike I've a thing for plungers as well...lol! I'll look around and see if I've some 'before' pics of the B31.
