This is what is shown in the parts manual.
Maybe the pipe shown is the brass one from your photo? But where would the clip belong? I would think it is a clip to attach a rubber hose somewhere to the crankcase maybe?

Hi Markus.
I've seen that diagram too - it's in the Haynes manual and I was puzzled by it also.. My copy of the Draganfly catalogue / parts list shows a different drawing for the "A" series cases & that part is not shown.. maybe on a very early model perhaps??, certainly not on the swinging arm models as far as I can see..

Markus,
The breather tube was fitted to the pre swinging arm engines but was not fitted to the later type, more's the pity.
Have a look at Orabanda's bike with tube fitted and clipped to the engine plate. A worthwhile mod.

LJ,
What's this "ole" business? Admittedly I am older than my bikes but I don't like to be reminded!

Thanks Trev!
Funny BSA still had it listed in the later parts books. Nostalgic feelings maybe?  *smile*

Trev.. My apologies, I let my humour run away with itself a bit there I think, and should have put a simile in just to show I'm not being offensive or unpleasant in any way. I can remove the post or adjust it if you want. I've just turned the big 50 and know full well what you mean about being reminded by age, its horrible. So please accept my apologies once again.  ;)

LJ,
No need for apologies, mate. You were kinder than most.
