G'day all from Australia,

New to the forum and thought I'd introduce myself.  Name is Dave Huybens, fan of all things british and always wanted a BSA.  I had an indian built Royal Enfield Bullet which was written off last November and copped a fair few injuries including a broken hand which required a titanium insert to fix it.  I have a 1956 Royal Enfield Super Meteor as well and replaced my bullet with a '55 flash.

It runs very well after replacing a faulty plug and playing around with carb tuning and jetting.  Very happy with the purchase and only need to seal the primary a little better where the gearbox shaft enters the inner primary.

Looking forward to being part of the forum.

Welcome Dave, you will find lots of interesting stuff on the forum. I'm over in Mt Gambier.

Now someone has to say this but your bike is not 55', its 1960 or later. Thats good though, it means you have a big journal crank and thick flange barrels, all good stuff. I have one identical, mines a 61' and black.

Dont worry too much about the seal behind the clutch, there not the best design and always seep a bit of oil.
