UK Dragon Rally 2010 North Wales
« on: 23.01. 2010 19:22 »
So... Anyone here going?

This rally which is the equivalent to the Elephant Rally held in Bavaria, is in its 49th year. Although tickets are now sold out there should be some 1,400 motorcyclist camping out in a cold damp muddy field with the risks of Ice and snow. The check in point to validate your tickets will be just north of Betws-Y-Coed and the actual camp site being up to ten miles away. I'm about ready to go and will be taking the BSA M21 being as its a nice low weighted bike for bad conditions. Hopefully I'll be posting some pictures when I get back. A short story here http://www.ljswain.btinternet.co.uk/dragon.htm of my 2007 attendance.

Yes, if Wales has had anything like the snow we had up here the campsite will still be well waterlogged. Most of the fields round here now have ducks swimming on them  ;)
