Ha, Ha very good. What do they do when they eat a banana, throw the skin away. At least we don't waste anything ! I have one of those Kevlar/carbon fiber space jackets but only use it on the rice rocket. Leather only on the BSA

I would consider it quite plausible.

A few years ago, after the largest Austrian Harley Davidson rally, a German car driver started messing around with some Swedish Harley riders by blocking them in a traffic jam.
Well, they hadn't been that creative, but simply beat him up rather badly.

If they were, indeed, throwing anything at members of certain biker gangs here in the U.S., they did quite well not being seriously harmed, or worse.

Now, can the activists prove to a certainty that the cows that provided the leather did not, in fact, die of old age? No, they cannot.

By the time they make the leather into jackets the first owners are long gone, deceased, dead, consumed - cattle no more.
Further more by consuming these said cattle we are saving the planet from the ravages of the methane they produce ( turning a blind eye to the fact we will breed some more ).
I support everyone having an opinion, but no-one has the right to try to change my opinion, it's mine for the private use of, I keep telling this to the Witness's that knock on my door once a year but they still keep coming, only time they baulked a bit was when I had two deer skulls hanging up by the door ( thought the horns might be worth something).
So despite being a peaceful sort of bloke, I reckon anybody trying to force their opinion on a group of others deserves to be made aware they are not welcome - within reasonable limits.

Might or might not be true of course, but you know facts and good stories and all that

Anyway how did cattle hides evolve into providing the best natural protective material for everything
from protecting our feet to sliding down the road protecting our delicate skin
How many cows got it up to the ton before throwing a wobbly and sliding down the tarmac  ???? ????

There's no one going to deprive me of a good steak tho
