1952 plunger length of clutch push rod

Have lost / misplaced the clutch push rod & inspite of turning the place upside down, have failed to locate the absconder !
Will be obliged if anyone can give me the length of the push rod. This is for the 10 plate clutch

My initial reply is to put the whole assembly together and determine the length of the rod experimentally. Specifically, get a 12-inch length of 1/4-inch round rod and insert it from the timing side of the box (outer cover removed). Assemble the outer cover with its clutch lever adjuster loose, and measure the amount that the rod needs to be diminished when the lever is approximately in position in its engagement position.

Anji - I hope you are aware that the ends of the rod have to be hardened? You can use a silver steel rod and harden/anneal the ends.

eleven and a half inches X a quarter inch rod. (11.5" X .25")
flat on one end, rounded on the other.
at least thats what came out of my disembowelled 1952 A7

Many thanks for your replies. Sorry am a bit late in replying but was out of station & just got back. I did assemble the clutch & measure the dimension & arrived at 11.75 ins. I have located a 12 inch  BSA clutch rod & will modify it to fit. Will remember to harden the ends. Thanks once again.
Am attaching some Work in Progress photos of the Flash. Hope to fire her up next week. Intolerable delays here in getting even the simplest of parts

Little trick with hardening push rod ends.
Heat up the last 1/4" till it is dright "cherry" red then count to 10.
Dunk it in to a container of old sump oil and "swirl" it in a figure of 8 pattern till it stops boiling the oil ( should be no more than a minute ) then remove it and lay it some where so that the end 6" or so dose not touch anything ( you could even hang it up ).
There will be enough heat retained in the rod to back temper the end and oil being a much gentler quench than water will only harden the outer surfaces where as water tends to through harden which is why you have to temper it in the first place.

            Hope all are well.
   Dug this out while searching similar answer, How did you get on Anji?
Or does anyone have a definitive measurement??
My pushrod needed the ends tidied up, and measures 11-3/16" (284mm).
 That's a reasonable difference (from 11.5, and 11.75).
 Mine works fine, but the adjuster is screwed in to the max(top of nut), bearing in mind I have the full complement of clutch plates (5 fr/5 pl- just thought I'd experiment), which requires extra length.
 Seems I may need a newie soon, I'd suggest 11.5" is about ok...?
Marcus suggested silver steel rod, does that go by another name?? or is anything better?

               you could try 1/4" bright shaft which is what I use. I hardened the ends with "Hardite".
