I reckon I could find room in my shed for that. It will be interesting to see if it sells and if so for how much.

Now THAT is exactly how to sell a bike! and isn't it amazing how we find ourselves drooling over someone else's bike when we already own one of these machines! and even if we own just a bog standard A10 like I do... It isn't difficult to tart them up with a bit of chrome here and there and some silver/black paint. About the only expensive item you'd need is an Alloy head and even this could be painted silver if pennies/dollars were short. I've not even yet read the description on the selling page nor looked at the video clip. I'd be betting this goes for serious money!

"very good original patina rider", that one's good!  *smile* Goldie-tank, Goldie-exhaust, Goldie-mudguard, siamese-pipes, that's not quite what I would call original. Just have a look at the RHS footrest and the gear change lever, then you know why he fitted all these new parts, incl. the handlebars and controls.

Nevertheless a nice bike with original engine, but I personally would not pay more than perhaps 3500-4000 USD for it.
OK, maybe a bit more if I had a chance of seeing and test riding it before. Although - in fact, all vehicles I ever bought have become cheaper after I saw and test rided them.  ;)

I too think it is a smart looking A10 - even with the "goldie" parts -  but at over $5000 and reserve not met me thinks it is going to be way over priced....

It shares a lot of the looks of my project, except I've not got arrowhead rear stays and tank, oil tank and toolbox are a non standard red, bit darker than Flamboyant Red.
Hope to get back to it this month and on the road for spring.
Present bid of 5000 USD equates to just over 3,100 UKP so it is worth more, question is as Mike says - where will it end up ???

1961 Flash - stock, reliable, steady, fantastic for shopping
1959 Rocket Gold Flash - blinged and tarted up  would have seizure if taken to  Tesco

It's reached what I would call a real price at $6 1/2K. I think it will probably fetch about $9K, wots your gesstamate ?
Watched the video and wanted to get on and pass the tintop before the 1st corner then open her up. The road looks like it would be fun at 60 - 80, don't think he got it in top.
Ebay, sometimes you get a bargain, most parts of my cafe came from there.
Cheers

Nice bike But as others have said it not entirely original.  I would expect for the money you would get the rear chainguard installed.  Jeff

Of course we guys here know the in's and outs of these bikes... But anyone not knowing just sees a very nice old Brit bike and ends up paying a lot more than its actually worth.

Granted it does have some non original parts but the price is quite good at this stage by our standards. Its currently at US $7100 which is AUS $7930.

Here is a picture of a 62' Super Rocket currently for sale at a dealers here in AUS, asking price AUS $6950.

Ouch!
Obviously I am out of touch with prices.
Often find myself shocked at the prices people are asking for A10s, but assume they don't actually get them.
Cheers,
Iain

Yep, starting to get a bit pricey. Would rather this one http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230419477573&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_500wt_967 .
I just insured the cafe full comp for $10K AU, on club plates it was only $ 85 for 12 months. They said a A10 RR had a market value of $6500 but mine is a special so agreed to 10.
