Side stand
« on: 25.03. 2025 12:03 »
I was unable to find a side stand, so adapted this Suzuki Bandit one. Had to tap out the threaded side to suit the bolt, and sleeve down the other side. Put a stop so it didn't swing too far forward.
Works OK until I can find the original BSA part, but they are scarce; the Bandit stand is easy to find.

interesting chaps what model bandido please? and is that fitted to the fixed lug or just clamped up with two loose halves because it might not work with the angle of the fixed lug  *dunno2*

Hi Bergs, mine is to the fixed lug. I had to make the stand side using a piece of scaffold pole and welding the mounting point and fixing 'holes' to that (I say I, well I got it done, I did not do it). From Memory its from a 600 bandit. There is a post on here somewhere about it as I did it when my cheap chinesium/indian side stand broke.
