Old cars

It is an MGA of the same year as the Beeza. Sadly it hasn’t been out lately due to my return to motorcycling! Maybe when the roads get a bit cleaner.
Here is a picture of it when we were at Groily’s a few years back.

Current bikes:
1958 BSA A10 Gold Flash
1954 Royal Enfield 350 Bullet
2019 Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor/ Watsonian GP sidecar outfit
Past Bikes:
1957 BSA Bantam D3
1958 BSA A10 Gold Flash (cafe racer)
1958 James Commodore 250
1956 Ariel Red hunter 350
1959 Panther 120/ Canterbury Carmobile sidecar outfit
1967 Suzuki 80

Very Nice.
I have a couple of AH Sprites (MkIIIa - wind up windows! and a Bug/Frog Eye MKI No windows or boot lid!!) in various stages of disrepair, one of them is running on the road though.  They have only served to convince me that actually, Mr BSA wasn't doing such a bad job after all haha.

I do prefer bikes always have and they take up less room in my shed too.

Lucky you lads with classic cars... If only I'd kept a few oldies. I have my great 25 year old SAAB 9-3, but it's almost too new.
What I've found is that physically, I'm  not really up to riding, but driving is a different matter.

The ones I miss are a different kettle of fish... Mk2 Jag, Falcon 2door hardtop, Triumph TC2500, XA Falcon V8 Ute, x3 Nissan Skylines... OUCH!

Ouch indeed Jules should have kept them all but then we've all done the same, its more about the space really, that and them not being worth much at the time...I can count Triumph Stag, Vitesse, 2500TC ex Bridgend Police car, TR6! Bit of a Triumph nut.  Alpha Romeo 2.5 GTV6 would love to still have this one but it was literally disappearing before my eyes with corrosion... Ford Capri 2.8i Special not rusty, not even sure why I sold it, best car I ever owned! Oh and a Notrun Commando 750 combat in bits that I sold just before coming out here only to find they were worth double here than they were in UK at the time. Doh!!

Might be veering dangerously off topic here mods sorry.

From 1982 to about 1992 my daily driver was a 1955 MG Magnette. As a family, we went everywhere in it, including north of Scotland, regular trips to Devon to see my wife’s sister and even to the Isle of Man for the TT (Groily will remember that) and later, the Manx GP. At the same time, my wife’s daily was a 1966 Mk 2 Midget. We used to cram our two girls behind the seats in that, probably illegal now!

BON i had i colt celeste that i watched drop to pieces , when the box sections started to rot it looked like a thousand thin feeler gauges had been stacked up and compressed together it was very strange how it peeled away. the MK 1 crapi i bought i found daily newspaper stuffed in the sills wet through but that 1600gt cross flow 4 branch engine was awesome. pic of a very young berger about the same time i bought betsy beeza off my mate

This was my V6 3ltr Marcos bought 1971.  Sold it for 3ltr MGC which was only OK on a stright road.  I had another Marcos a rare Triumph engine one.  I tried to re-buy the yellow V6 one back, but seller will not part with it...

Has it run over a bag-piper in the pic?
Nice car though, but always wondered what the rear screen was from?

Had a blue Granada 3L Ghia, felt like a king when driving it. Kept it alive as many years as possible, until the rust literally made it fall apart. Great drive, still missing it 35 years later :O)

G'day Fellas.
The first car I drove on the road at 13 was mum's new TC XLE Cortina but the one I wish I still had is the Mk2, 2 door or the 4 door. They served me well when living in the bush.
Cheers

hehe musking rat i borrowed my dads moggy thou 4 door saloon when i was 15 and nearly turned it over , he was in the workshop on the lathe with the flat leather belt clicking round the wide stepped pully's and i managed to creep it off the drive, he was blind in the left eye so had no chance of seeing me while he was turning. i got it back about 10 minutes later because after i had it on two wheels it shook me up and he didn't know. i bet he knew i was nicking his park drive flips and fags for my school bus run though. ps my mate had a mk 1 lotus cortina when i had my crapri.
