I could be, I've had Araldite last well inside engines - plugging up holes in cases.  The originals were soldered in. Mine came with the gauze missing and there was quite a lot of solder in the bottom.  I melted it out and fitted a flat plate.

i would say yes, you could mix some and test it with a petrol/ oil mix to be sure once it's cured properly, because i know it's not as good as it was back int day *beer*
