I have a separate problem with my lift. I always want to put the bike on the stand, so need to roll the bike back about 1 foot from its forward-most position. By the time I have it on the stand the front wheel is almost backed out of the wheel clamp. I use a couple of bricks and a plank to roll the bike through the wheel clamp so that when I pull it back on the stand the wheel is in the clamp. I am considering how to make a steel extension to replace the Heath Robinson affair.

Yep, can't beat a very useful belly jack when using a lift.

hmmmm, Musky,

 I ran up the back of a trailer (at about quick walking pace) a month or so ago.
Tripped on a piece of cotton and down she went. Smashed the right side tank and blinker.

Maybe time to clean out the shed and buy a honda 90 postie bike. (with an electric start and crash bars)
