Yes it does, one between inner cover and case, one between inner cover and outer cover, one under the steel cover on back of main case and one under the oval inspection cover on the outer case.

I use Morris AG90 non EP gear oil which is said to be safe with phosphor bronze bushes

I put my gearbox together carefully flattened each mating surface on a piece of glass and used new gaskets. It leaks like a sieve. I plan to remove it and replace gaskets but this time with some sealant.

Made mine out of Flexoid gasket paper 0.4mm with 0.6mm for the  outer and oval cover and use straight 50 in the gearbox although 20/50 mineral is just as good. Straight cut gears are fairly forgiving with oils I'm told.

Hi all,
just a quick update on the gearbox, having stripped and cleaned the box and flattened all mating surface
and  new gaskets fitted topped with oil and no leaks also the same for the primary cover which i have fitted the
    Electric start system.
