Lest We Forget
« on: 10.11. 2023 21:42 »
G'day Fellas.
Down here is Remembrance Day for all our Diggers lost in battle. 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month the guns fell silent on the Western Front WW1 105 years ago. Lest We Forget.

I'm going to another Remembrance Day for a fallen brother. Ruley was a respected friend and member of my club. We miss him.
Cheers

 A moment to remember....
I will be at the local parade in the morning. My Great-Uncles (3) served but only one came back. My Great Grandfather in 1916 then went to England but was struck with influenza before even making it to France, died in hospital in Montreal in 1919 two weeks after his return. Too many to remember and then the number that I trained and served with in the 70's and 80's are gone now.
