1st time user, just saying hi
« on: 03.11. 2023 22:31 »
Hello! - Newby (but old in years) Brit living on Central Coast California. Have what I thought was a RGS clone in pieces, which has now proved to be 57/58 Scrambler. Not sure wether to go forward with RGS or redo as it originally was.... not sure where to post about initial start up problems after assembly, maybe I should read the notes more first!

G'day John  *welcome*
A bl@@dy great looking bike mate. Unless you want to hit the trails leave it as the most (in my opinion) desirable RGS copy.
Have a good look around the Forum and the search button will give you answers to most of your questions.
Cheers

Thanks for the warm welcome guys/blokes/geezers, feel like I'm part of the family already.   -  Someone asked why I like Beezas and the answer is I am non denominational. Grew up in Sussex in the 60's, was a Rocker (of course), got firehosed into the sea in Brighton with the Mods and Rockers era. First beeza at 17 was a full DBD34 190mm, RRT2, Eddie Dow tank etc etc and it was great right up until I broke the crankpin, kinda veered sidewise into Nortons and Triumphs after that. Early 20's was Harley 45's in Brisbane Aus. Late 20's was a trusty Honda XL250 and 55 Norton Model 7 I rode in Champagne countryside for a few years. Was in my 40's in SoCal when I went after Brit bikes again, I missed the vibration with loss of feeling in my fingers, oil pools/stains in the garage, broken and dirty fingernails, and the fun. Now in my 70's, current herd - 73 Commando, 58 Triton, 57 RGS, 73 TR5T (rebuilding now). Will probably be buried with the Triton.
