Rear wheel still on ground on centre stand

The rear wheel does not clear the ground when on the centre stand. The bike has a later TLS front end, wondering if that set up causes this issue? Or maybe an issue with the centre stand

I removed the stand and ran some weld onto both shoulders/stops and just ground them down as required. - easy and cheap.

I placed an aluminium bar through the stand lugs, clamped it into the correct place and welded up to the bar from each side ie filling the elongation of the holes. A longer job but better, IMO.

Sorry Col, not a chance as it's under the bike and oily now!
Find or turn an alloy round bar the same diameter as the stand pivot bolts, then insert it through both stand lugs on the frame, and clamp it into the position that the pivot bolts would have been when the bike left the factory and before wear and use made the holes kidney-shaped.

You'll see elongation in the lug holes which can be filled with weld, then the alloy bar is removed and the welds tidied up.

I may have mentioned before but here goes.
After the lugs are repaired and the pin is a nice fit, I drill and tap the lugs and fit grub screws to hold the pin in place. No more wear on the lugs, just the pin which is relatively easy to replace.

Worn centre stand holes - fixed with a pieces of 15mm copper pipe jammed into the elongated holes and held in place with carefully placed washers.  Pin went straight through with no issues - no more banging the stand on the silencer.

That sounds like a good and inexpensive solution. Will be a bit until I get round to it, got larger issues to sort first

The good thing about it is that it's really easy to do.  The pin is harder than the copper, so shouldn't wear.  If the copper becomes a bit worn and slack, just stick another piece in - just acts as a bush really.  Not only did I cure the silencer bashing, but the bike seems to sit up a bit better than before.

Wheelbase shorter because the steering steem has bent backwards
The SR500 I rode fr work was notorious for doing that.
Mind you jumping up gutters 50+ times a day may have been a contributing factor .
