Just for a change, a boat
« on: 25.09. 2023 22:07 »

HMS Brave Borderer, first of the Brave-class fast patrol boats. At the time of their introduction the Braves were the fastest naval vessels in the world.

Only two were built: HMS Brave Borderer (P1011), and
HMS Brave Swordsman (P1012). At the end of their life they were sold to the Haydon-Baillie aircraft museum.

Wonderful boats. Top speed around 55kts.
There were several versions of this type and I recall Adnan Khashoggi (brother in-law of Al Fayed) had one - the only privately-owned fully armed patrol boat. But then he was Britain's No 1 arms salesman to the middle east!
