worty Christine the possessed and myself are still in battle mode but are not fighting, i am waiting for the warmer climes before battle resumes. i don't get it cos i'm thick me. it can go into limp mode without any lights coming on when setting off on a flat road, then if i fully depress the throttle and let it back up things go back to normal pulling off mode, the only diagnostic i have got from it is gas boost pressure high this should in theory only effect hard acceleration and over 3000rpm . as regards a berg to scrawm about under cars in crap weather i am sure there are other bergs that will this, but this berg is never doing cold weather scrawming again , he also hates warm weather scrawming *bash* *problem*

I've had some related\similar symptoms through the years. Just recently got an intermitent 90% loss of power (with a dash light, "water in diesel or electronic failure". Ok after changing a turbo sensor.

All such instances cured by changing sensors: diesel pressure, turbo stuff, air flow, atmospheric pressure (!) etc. If in doubt I swap until the car works again :O as those sensors cost very little and easy\fast work.

You probably got a turbo ? With those symptoms I'd change turbo related sensor(s) 1st, if it helps, fine, if not try the pressure sensor on the injection\fuel rail.

Nice choice of van 'e'. My 2012 is still rust free due to the galvanising. Only 111k miles but she is my daily drive with 9 seat if need be and become a day van/camper for the Uk touring week. Think I have her setup now.

Yes, great car in many ways, for many different uses. And comfortable, relaxing, easy to drive.

Good workhorses, Trafics and their sisters. Mine's coming up to 15 now and I've had it over half that. Very dependable and 1200km range on a tank is a bit useful too.
Very comfortable for long distances. Working people have to practically live in the things, so they need to be, after all.

Can confirm, why I still have it (for 18 years here !), and am trying to keep it for as long as possible.

Out of interest, what's the timing belt change interval on these?

Around 5 years or 100.000 km afaik. Quite a job, that is one thing I do pay for at a garage!

a10gf first off limp mode was diagnosed as egr valve but the valve was clear and the solenoid had failed so a unit was fitted, then it went in limp again and the service light came on and it said gas boost pressure high so i changed the sensor. this didn't sort it and it goes in limp mode setting off from a junction when IT!!! wants,  in fact it goes in limp with or without a light coming on from 800revs to 4000 revs.... to get to the turbo i have to have all the front off and the manifold just to check the waste gate  *pull hair out* *problem* , it will rev to 5000rpm at times so i think it can't be a blocked dpf who knows? this is why i call it Christine the possessed

^^^ ahhh, I understand very well. Can the Lambda sonde give such problems? Got no idea.
Or could be the turbo itself? Does not mean the end of a car, renewed \ exchange ones should be available without costing a fortune.

Best of luck sorting it out.

ps, long ago had a red-haired Christine girlfriend. Was posessed, a source of big troubles *smile*
So, re-baptise the car, and all will be well!

if this 33 year old girl didn't want new crank oil seal. new gearbox oil seal. new diff oil seal , new brake pipes, new clutch master cylinder, new struts and lots of welding on seat belt anchor points and chassis i would never have known Christine the possessed
