Frame number bad stamping?

just going through my paperwork, I'm wondering whether to correct the docs.

I have a 1977 card registration and  two 1984 V5s.. owners first name wrong and then
colour.. #1 not stated #2 black
and the usual '55' instead of SS for engine number.

Frame is recorded as EA24** but looks like FA..
if you squint and turn.. maybe it is a badly defined E

I have a similar issue with another make of bike, but I'm not going to open that can of DVLA worms if I can possibly help it.

hmm, I can see where you're coming from.
very very faint base to the 'E'
Good news is it's still registered on DVLA

The EA7 and FA7 frames were slightly different.

The FA7 had a sidecar mounting fixing welded in the left side pillion loop.

The EA7 sequence started in late 1955 so I suspect EA7 240* was despatched from the factory in late 1955 or early 1956.

my '71 Haynes shows a mounting, which this doesn't have- less an  FA more a stamping issue?

Thrown by the BSA numbering system? ie 57 starting in August 56.??
 I was beginning to think that I had a 56 engine in a 58 frame?

But both would tie in to 1956 manufacturing registered in 1957
