I've made a start on building a 1957 Road Rocket. I've sorted all the heavy parts and taken them to the local powder coaters. Today, I'm hoping to find some hubs in the shed. I'll be cleaning those up whilst the frame is away being powder coated. I like to get the rolling chassis done first. I'm going to transfer the engine out of my RGS copy which has the correct engine numbers. This engine rattles a bit so I'm going to rebuild it before it goes into the RR and I'll build a new engine for the RGS copy. I'll post photos and updates as I go along. I've set myself a target of 12 months to do both engines and get the RR up and running. The RR is a bitsa, based on a frame I bought about twenty years ago, and bits dragged out of the shed. It'll be the twin-clock type, probably with red guards and tank because the chrome guards I bought from India are dreadful!
