1800km (1100 miles), in a weekend - will you be sleeping at any point?
G'day Worty.
I'm cheating with a 4 day weekend. Day 1 = 505, day 2 = 310 over the "snowies", day 3 = 430, day 4 = 589 to home. Lots of pub stops.
Cheers

Looks good mate, big ride out at around 275 miles per day average.  Could do it better on the Kwak with the high bars than the GF though, after around 150m on the Beeza, I can't feel my back or hands.  Going to Dundee on the Kwak was a breeze, although better weather would have helped a lot!

G'day Fellas.
Haven't ridden for a week or so. Been making the trophy's for my clubs show in May.
I only got one polished before my polishing machine blew up. Paint to the rescue.
Now I have to make another batch for my other club. No rest for the wicked

I didn't ride my bike today because I feel like s**t from a ferkin rotten cold.  However, after dosing up on codeine and ibuprofen, I tackled the first part of the replacement shower job.  This also meant replacing the pull cord - how much of a  *angry* *angry* *problem* *problem* *pull hair out* *pull hair out* job is that.  Really thick cables (6 or 10mm??), no room, shallow pattress box and very little room in the ceiling cavity - took me about two hours for that job alone (had to have a lie down in the middle of it all).  Next is to see whether I can crack the tiles drilling new holes, then having to add more plumbing to get the water connected, then finding my electrics are too short *razz* *razz* *razz* *angry* *angry* *work* *work* *work* *pull hair out*

After that, I am going to whip the clutch cover off the Dubya and check the plates and springs to see if it's that that's responsible for the weird clinking noise.  I've also had a couple more 'clutch slip' moments, which I also don't like.  New friction plates and slightly heavier springs coming my way.  Apparently, this is the only real weak point of the Dubyas.  Don't know what else it could be as the bike's performance is unaffected by the noise, it ticks over really nicely, and there are no noises when it's stationary with the motor running??

Since finally being assembled the A10 has been a pig to start. Its would only run on both cylinders intermittently and would not idle.  So far the main culprit is a blocked idle jet in the concentric and I've drilled that out and I'm waiting on the new jet.  Decided to look at the sparks again today and they look weak and a bit intermittent.
When I got the bike it was in bits and it came with 3 1/2 mags.  Spent ages sorting all the best bits and built up the mag. Bored (its been raining all day) I roughly assembled the left over bits to see if I had enough for a 2nd mag. Turned it slowly while checking it and it gave a great big spark. What???   Its at least twice ans good as the mag made from the "best" bits. I tried every combination before, i just don't get it. Spent this evening swapping the manual end over, shimming bearings etc, so with this and the new pilot jet things are looking up.
By next week there will either be jubilation or great despondency as I'm out of ideas if this doesn't work.

I'm not riding my bike today because it is absolutely p1ssing down and is likely to be like this for the rest of the day. Ah well, a chance to catch up in the workshop...silver linings!

G'day Fellas.
I'm not riding to work with the temps in the minus. Yes I'm getting soft in my old age.

I did not ride my motorbike today for two reasons. Firstly, the very short-lived dry period in the UK came to an end. Secondly, the bike is 250 miles away.

That "short lived dry period" was summer.  We may get another next year.  Global warming is not living up to its name.
