Measuring tyre pressures
« on: 20.07. 2023 19:17 »
A bit of a silly question but how do guys measure your tyre pressures?  I use a pencil type made of metal the centre is pushed up by the air pressure. I have noticed the gauges on my electric pump and foot pump are way off.  However I can’t help feeling that the pencil type gauge seems a bit crude.  But is it accurate?

G'day John.
I agree most gauges on foot or electric pumps are unreliable. I use a little digital one easily carried in the pocket.
It's best if you use the same gauge all the time. That way even if it's not 100% accurate you'll know what pressure your comfortable with.

Does not matter
Find the numbers that work best for you with your pencil type and keep it in your poscket so it is the only one you use
