Hi,thanks for recent advice, I have had my A10 for 2 years, ive covered 4,000 mikes since, bought as a running project, finally got it how I think it should be, new carb, electronic ignition ,srm pushrods,  one jumped out of its cup, plus loads of other minor bits.I wanted an a10 since I was younger(approaching 60 very soon),but the usual Japanese bikes got in the way, I still have a couple of Japanese bikes ,but my main bikes I ride are, 1960 a10,1962 tiger 100 and a 1962 ajs csr 250,  with the a10 being my main bike.Just back from the iom tt last week doing 700 miles on the a10 and 300 miles on the csr.

Welcome to the forum! I'm sure you'll find everything you need to know somewhere on here. Sounds like you're getting your bike sorted and reliable. Everybody is entitled to treat their bike the way they want to so, no criticism implied or otherwise, but if you ever fancy converting back to magneto....give me a ring! A few pictures of your bike would be good. Safe riding!

I put a Wassel electronic ignition on my A10. Seems to start really well but I also put an alternator on the bike to give me a reliable 12v. I also got a H4 headlight that I can leave on at all times.

If you put on electronic ignition you will need an ignition switch. Not wanting an ignition switch I put a cheap remote relay in the tool box. Seems good so far. Happy to share wiring details if wanted.
