... Apparently, talking about bikes doesn't float her boat *eek*, but flowers, holidays and meals out she likes - I'll never get women! *dunno* *dunno*

Jeez Minto, if you could get a bit more GO out of the other GF too that'd be wins all 'round!

If you have any ideas about getting more go out of the g/f, let me know will you.  I've tried reducing weight, a good clean, and general fettling but with little success so far.  Was considering bigger jets, a top end rebuild, new valves and stronger con rods, but not sure if it's worth the expense.  Battery seems ok, but wiring is definitely duff. *whistle* *whistle* *whistle* *grins* *grins* *grins* *wink2* *wink2* *beer* *beer* *beer*

I'd suggest raising the compression. The standard pistons on a Golden Flash are what 6.5:1-7:1? I have 9:1 in my Super Rocket and without going all big valve or hot cam you could probably get some value out of bigger jets with higher compression otherwise you're just likely to run rich on full throttle.

Someone suggested shaving the head to make the bike go faster.
I did that; no improvement in speed, but my ears were much colder.

Good one.
A mate asked me why I used so much alloy on the racer bike. I just patted my belly and said "So I can have a beer every night".
Cheers
