Primary chain replacment

1949 A7 plunger
Rather than add to the previous posts as most the issues were resolved, however I have decided to replace the primary chain with an endless one  now will the whole shebang need to come off basket plates, chain wheel, rollers etc, or is there a cunning plan

Bugger I thought perhaps there was a work around, In a previous post it was suggested my tensioner had been assembled wrong as it in 2 part slipper and a wavey plate affair any one know the correct fitting

G'day Devlin.
ellis is correct the clutch basket and cush sprocket with chain attached together. Drop the tensioner to it's lowest position. Put a little grease on the collets to stop them from falling. Put the thrust washer in the basket and add the rollers (a bit of grease helps there too). Now carefull offer it all up to the crank & mainshaft. Hopefully all the rollers stay in place  *grins*.
The tensioner goes on the studs first then the wave plate, washer, castle nut and lockwire.
