I had a Venom in the early 70's with a single seat sidecar nailed on the side.
It was bathroom blue - I mean everything , wheels ,frame ,tins,, everything !!
It took me and my mate best part of 500 miles to Cornwall and back over a 2 week holiday - not a single problem and all for £35.00 - happy days .

Got  Thruxton-style petrol and oil tank, but then so have many more standard Venoms now.

Lots of bitsas - venoms, vipers, MSSs, get the Thruxton tank - it has the cutaway originally designed for the GP carb. It's easier to get than the genuine 4 gall tank.

Strange lot the Velo owners and I mean that in a nice way, when I worked for Horsmans  we had a velo dealership  used to sell a couple of Venoms and A Thruxton a yr .Even the velo dispatch box was sturdier than any other marque real solid wood ,1 guy I remember lived on the IOM ordered a new one every 2 yrs and he inssited that it be left in the crate so He could prep it himself at home .The one we got back was minted and Alan my boss didn't even look at it just knew we'd have a cracking used bike to display and seell without any problems . Loved the sound and look did I want one sorry no I just wanted an easy life so stuck to bsa and tri .
