Barry Humphries passed away recently from hip replacement complications.
Best known for his characters Edna Everage and Les Patterson.

As FrankZappa used to say "you can't do that on Stage anymore and society is all the poorer for it "
I have been watching he comedy festivals on TV and the ove thing they all have in common is none of the jokes are funny
Never been to a Humphries show that did not make me laugh till my sides hurt .

RIP Barry.
A very intelligent man.
He and all his characters could take the pi55 out of anyone (Royals included) and get away with it.

Such a brilliant mind, and so funny!
I remember one appearance on Parkinson when he was discussing what made women attractive to men.
He mentioned Joan Collins, and observed "...it was what she put behind her ears .. (a brief pause).... her legs".
