My first ride today after getting the bike and rebuilding/refurbing.
I was very surprised at how much power was there, i was expecting a weak fart type affair after riding my XJR and 2013 Tiger, but no, it went better than expected and it handled and braked well too. I haven't even touched the ignition timing after the inital set up and it seems quite good. I don't think it's 100% as there is a bit of blueing to the downpipes. I ran it three times, first time just down the driveway then for about 500 yards and then for about half a mile. At least it hasn't seized up yet
Thanks must go to everyone on the forum who offered advice one way or another and also to Andrew at Priory Magnetos (Cheeserbeezer) who supplied me with a lot of the parts and gave invaluable advice.
I still need to get some new silencers and fit the new clutch chainwheel, chain and crankshaft sprocket, but it'll give me something to do sooner or later. So there we go, hey hey.
