GoPro fixing
« on: 16.03. 2023 14:10 »
I've borrowed my sons GoPro camera so I can take some video of me riding Emily the Golden Flash. I've had to improvise a way of attaching the camera to my helmet, (OOERR MISSUS!).

G'day GB.
That'll work with Emily. Wouldn't last 30 seconds on my rHonda 1100 at 250kph  *eek*
I know it's not worth spending ££ on the correct mount for just a short low speed ride. I'd probably do the same.

Is it as old as Emily? Mine is only two years old and has trouble with different video formats.

I believe the freezing up of the GoPro footage is because my PC hard disk is almost full. I'm running a tune-up program to clean junk off the disk.

Never liked helmet footage
The shoulder mount or chest mount make a much better video
When you start to edit it you will understand why your neck gets so sore .

I had to do what I could with what I had to hand. The camera has image steadying. I'll upload some of the footage to YT.

G'day GB.
Good footage  *good3*
One thing I noticed is it looks very sable over road irregularities (joins in the surface). A lot of bikes will pull one way or the other.
The other thing I noticed is do the roads ever dry out  *????* Every video I've seen is on wet mucky roads  *ex*
Cheers

Despite global changes to weather patterns, March here is typical; sunshine and showers.

I've never had to worry about stability with the old girl. The only issue is a KER-CLUNK! from the plungers when I don't manage to dodge a pothole. That is much reduced since I put a 4" tyre on the back.
