A10 oil pump spindle
« on: 11.01. 2023 21:26 »
Hi guys, i rebuilt my barnfind 1961 a10 and checked the oil pump, it wasn't turning, lucky I didn't try starting it but I did turn it over a few times before deciding to strip it. I got it turning nicely but I'm worried I damaged the thread on the with
Worm and or spindle. I'll test to see if it turns once I've gotten further, like put the clutch side on so I can turn the engine over with the kick start. My problem is I can't find NOS worm and spindle, guessing they're all gone. Any ideas where I can find these?

Stu

My pump was seized too.  I spent ages lapping all the parts together but since it is so important I ended up getting a new pump anyway.

I hope you don't mean the thread on the end of the crankshaft, that would worry me.

The worm is part No. 67-0642
The crankshaft pinion is Part No. 67-0339

Try calling Burton Bike Bits I find they are very good at parts for my A10

When you say 'worm' I presume you mean the part in the oil pump? SRM can supply those.
