No because the worm is cut in the opposite direction.

Hi Julian--
Thanks for that Does that mean the A10 Tacho head goes a different rotation to A65? A10 =A/C?--Barry

If you think, everything is under control, you are not fast enought.

It may not help but you can fit an A10 pump “nose” section to an A65 pump, use that, and gain the advantage of 30% wider gears that way, as an alternative to an SRM pump. I have done that. Chances of finding an A10 nose section with tacho drive might be low though!

I wonder if that explains the 'high capacity' steel pump I bought from John (Bantam) Phelan for my bike.

Hi Chaps--Still not quite got this, did the later R/Rockets have a Tacho driven off the ( standard ) oil pump and if so was it a/ clock guage  or did they  have magneto gear drive--Barry

The Super Rockets with DA10R prefix engine numbers had the tacho driven from the oil pump, 3;1 ratio.

The Road Rocket and earlier Super Rocket with CA10R prefixed engine numbers used a tacho driven from the magneto gear.

Original fitment DA10R engine tacho was Chronometric type with face number RC 1303/03.

Looking directly at the rev counter drive on the pump it rotates anticlockwise on the A10 and clockwise on the A65.

A65 tacho was magnetic type.

Hi All,
Julian, The RC1303/03 for the Super Rocket should have a "L" at the end, so RC1303/03L
to signify left hand rotation

or am I talking cr*p

Certainly seen an L suffix on speedometers but not so far on a tacho.

Hi Julian
Maybe/probably that's what I was thinking of  *????*
Although I am sure that the oil pump driven rev counter is opposite to "usual" rotation
