Mag reconditioners
« on: 21.11. 2022 18:26 »
Can anyone recommend a mag reconditioning firm who could either remagnetise or rebuild my Lucas K1F magneto? After sitting idle for forty years+ it no longer works. Lucas rubbish.. ;)

You're right. Lucas rubbish not meant to last, I had to clean the points on my original 1955 MO1L recently.😊

I'm not 100% sure Andrew is still in the reconditioning business, but you should check with him at Priory Magnetos or by PM to our member "CheezerBeezer" (one-in-the-same).

Yes, I'm actually quite busy doing magnetos and dynamos, particularly since advertising in The Star BSAOC magazine. Turnaround is about 2-3 weeks and the cost of refurbishing a K2F is normally about £260 - £270. Thanks for the headsup.
