Hi,
I realise this is a Long shot but has anyone got a cylinder barrels for a 1953 bsa  a10 part number 67-253.

Yep thanks, I’ve got my eye on that one but it needs a repair which I’ve looked into. Not sure on how that could be done.
I’m hoping for one in good condition

The ebay cylinder seems to be on standard bore and cheap compared to later cylinders on there??
Top fin is an easy enough repair, either fashion one from mild steel and tack weld it  in place
Or cut the section from your scrap cylinder and silver solder or low temp braze it on
If you go the second route it may distort the top of the bore so repair before re boring the cylinder
