Plunger clutch bits and mainshaft for sale
« on: 25.07. 2022 00:58 »
I have some plunger clutch parts and a mainshaft that I no longer need.

The clutch is not complete, it is missing the centre hub and springs/cups/nuts. What you see in the pictures is all I have. It does have a full set of plates including the extra thick first plate. Seems to be in good condition, all the small bolts that hold the cover on are perfect. I dont have a hub or rollers so cant check the bearing.

The mainshaft has some wear on the surface the sleeve gear runs on, could easily be ground or I have repaired them myself in a lathe with a oil stone. The shaft is straight and has perfect threads and keyway.

The other bit is a basket from a later clutch, the teeth are buggered as is the bearing. The centre hub is good.

I am asking $50 for the clutch, $30 for the mainshaft and $10 for the other clutch basket. All Australian dollars. These parts are only going to be available to Australian members, they are simply too heavy to post overseas. The whole lot of it weighs about 6kg. I an happy to sell it all as one lot or if you only want one bit let me now.

Clutch sold.
Mainshaft not plunger, my mistake.

No worries Richard, I will get it boxed up and get a postage cost.

There you are Devlin. Top two  pictures... Plunger Clutch, with distinctive duplex chainwheel, oil cap and pressure plate. As stated, missing the driven centre.

 Mainshaft?  Looks like M Series.

Chainwheel with lining inserts...... typical 6 Spring S/A type.

Thanks Brian, a picture has saved me a thousand words to explain the essential differences.

 Swarfy.

My mistake with the mainshaft, it is not a plunger one. They have a splined end not tapered.
