I have a US market 1956 BSA A10 Road rocket (Arial Hubs) that has undergone a full restoration. I ordered a center stand spring 42-4730 however its way to short. The spring fits on the timing side of the motorcycle and it would appear that it should be approximately six inches long eye to eye. Does anyone know the correct spring I should have and where I can obtain one. Thanks

lots of discussion about centre stand spring fitment in here, are you sure the spring is too short because it needs to be elongated (with difficulty!) normally to fit....cant help with dimensions perse' though, sorry...

I have a 56 GF ariel hubs, and the spring is about 6” long when its on the stand. I had to make a special tool device to the spring on. It is impossible to fit the spring without a tool or one of the various “hacks” people have come up with.

From memory I got the spring from draganfly.

I measured the pin to pin dimension and it is close to 7". I note that a pre unit Triumph spring is approximately 6" from eye to eye so I will try one of those first as that may work. Thanks for your replies. I am aware that I will have to use a tool or the washer trick to install the spring.

Feked have some dimensions, do they match what you bought?
