Hello everyone, I googled BSA forums and it brought me here. I have quite a few old motorcycles, probably too many, my favorite bike is a 1959 A10 Super Rocket built as a Spitfire, I owned a 1956 A10 Plunger when I was 17, so it brings back a lot of memories. I purchased the bike in Ontario, had it crated and shipped to BC. It was mostly in one piece, frame, engine, transmission and wheels, all in pretty rough shape. I sourced parts from anywhere I could find them, all over the world. The bike is not 100% stock, I did have it running on the magneto at first but was having a real problem with the manual advance and setting the points, the cam ring was too sloppy, so decided to go with electronic ignition that fits in the magneto. Rebuilt the engine transmission and installed a new triumph 3 spring clutch converted to fit an A10.

1959 Spitfire, 1961 Matchless G80CS, 1965 Triumph TR6SS, 1966 Triumph T6, 1966 Norton C15N, 1969 BSA B44 Victor, 1972 Montesa Cota, 1978 Honda XL185 and 1981 Yamaha XT500

Yes, you do have too many motorcycles. You can send me the Norton. No, that's OK, I'll cover the shipping. It seems like you won't be needing a bunch of motorcycle mechanics guidance, but if you find yourself scratching the head for some obscure A10 issue, I'm sure you will get an answer here.

(Admin, it sounds like a Canadian Flag could be dropped on Painless' posts, assuming he's OK with that.)

You and Scotty are basically neighbors. A hop, skip and a jump on a ferry.
