It's time
« on: 06.12. 2021 17:12 »
I AM POSTING WITH A HEAVY HEART!
All things have to come to an end...
I love my motorcycle and everything that comes with it,  but I have no time to ride... so I am giving it all up in 2022. This is taking up too much of my time. I am struggling to keep up with work,  home chores and the everyday chaos, so something has to give. I have decided to get rid of my gear.
Below is a list of what's available. Serious inquiries only, and please don't insult me with low offers.

1. Vacuum cleaner
2. Dustpan and brush
3. Mop and bucket
4. Lawn Mower
5. Leaf blower
6. Laundry detergent
7. Iron
8. Broom
9. Dishwashing Liquid
10. other items as well
PM me for prices!

Indeed!

I'd never seen a leaf blower until I came over here in 2004. Its the Aussies favourite pastime...

The gum trees are evergreen, and when they're not on fire, drop leaves and bark all year round.  There's a sports centre just up the hill from us and every morning I see a guy walking around all the paths and parking areas blowing the leaves away. During the day the wind gets up and blows them all back again.

One of my sons has a leaf blower - major parenting failure. *sad2* However, other than blowing leaves about (more parenting shame) *sad2*  he does use it to dry his bikes after washing them. *smiley4*

Gordon,

Are you against all leaf blowers because you own a rake manufacturing enterprise, of just the gasoline type?

Richard,

Over the years I have planted 8,000 trees around my place and I have yet to feel the need for a leaf blower. If I were to wash my bikes more often, I suppose I could use one to dry them.
The son with the leaf blower is almost obsessive about neatness and tidyness. I rebuilt his Norton 88 after he blew it up. I had it looking pretty neat or so I thought. The first thing he did was to strip it completely for a cosmetic makeover. That was some years ago. It is still in bits...

thats a great April 1 post GB LOL, well done!
as for leaf blowers, my wife sweeps and I blow, the outcome is the same, the leaves are moved from the deck to the garden, the difference though is the amount of energy used in the "transaction"  *smile*
I had a leaf vacuum before and its too hard to manage, gets heavy and unwieldy and clogs with wet leaves.... *eek*
