I was dragged out to a mountain bike centre by my kids and grandkids. We has a day riding down muddy forest tracks along with about 100 other enthusiasts. Everyone, I mean everyone was covered in mud, front and back and queuing for a hose down at the end of the day. With one exception. My Rockhopper has mudguards. And a carrier. and a bell. The smug grins and shaking heads pointed at me at the start of the day had all evaporated. And replaced by ones of my own.

I hope you had a flask of hot tea and some cucumber sandwiches (diagonally cut with the crusts removed) strapped to your carrier also Blacky?!  *smile*

Must admit to mountain biking without mudguards...getting covered in crap is half the fun after all.

Cheers

Some other shots. Don’t think they look terrible although a radiator does look unusual. I’ll see one in the flesh and maybe  ride one before making any judgments.

It looks acceptable to me. I await more information, views and test rides.

Do we know what engine size?

See, I guessed the first model would be called Gold Star 👍

I think  it's a 650cc motor making 45hp - looks ok to me.

RichardL: in the USA you call motorcycle mudguards fenders;  does that also apply to bicycle guards?

Sorry for the late reply, GB, missed your question. Yes, bicycle "fenders" in the U.S.

I'd certainly take one for a test ride!
look forward to some official pic's, cant really see the RH side of the barrel that clearly, certainly a solid homage to the goldie and a far better effort than the BSA regal SR500

Thanks guys for posting these. Is it just the one model ?

Not that there's room in my shed, but I'd happily use one around town in traffic and keep the classics for proper rides. Appeals more to me than an oilfield or a thai trumpet

I am quite pleased with what is depicted there at least it looks like a modern BSA it all now depends on price and performance and what the press say about it.

Well hats off. They've gone to a huge amount of trouble (reverse engineering?) to get modern contents into an old (looking) package. Not sure where it falls between pastiche and half way decent rendering yet, needs a closer look.

There are no circumstances under which I can imagine buying one - but then I'm not the target audience.
