A7SS front mudguard 1955

There seems to be a deep valanced front mudgaurd , also fitted to the gold flash , then there seems to be a normal mudgaurd , which is original for that model , phil.

I’d say the shooting star would’ve had the sporty non deep valanced front mudguard

Certainly the more sporty guard for the Shooting Star. Below from the 1955 catalogue.

You could try swapsies. Someone may be happy to take that guard off your hands in exchange for what you want.

Again different guards fitted to different markets
The EU liked deep guards as did Canada & the USA east coast because of the salted roads
Where as the desert west coast wanted thin blade guards
The USA would get chrome , the UK got paint
And catalogues are rarely 100% aaccurate

Sorry, the EU didn't exist when these bikes were being produced. Did you mean EU or some other country/bloc?

A nice contemporary photo of my Great Uncle on his 1955 season A7 Shooting Star. The plate is PRU... a Bournemouth plate from a series used between December 1954 and February 1955
