casting number 67 1126. The good, new guides, new exhaust valves, intake seats replaced due to excessive past seat grinding. Intake valves are .060 oversize. Valve work done by a competent machine shop. The carb bore was neatly enlarged to 32 mm.
The 5 rocker box threaded holes were fitted with Helicoils, 5/16-24. the job was done properly and includes bolts of the correct length.
I checked the head with a machinist straight edge and it is not warped
The bad..broken fins. One was welded and is secure. two smaller breaks that were simply smoothed over and don't show when the head is on the bike..One gasket surface shows a few nicks but did not leak
The head was used for a few hours before being swapped for a "faster" head but not because this head had performance issues...
