If that was really the west, the handlebars would be much higher.

Maybe the real amusing thing here is the Singer Sewing Machines Crate.

Love the 'spare tyre'. Seen more tread on an innertube.

My part of the world.
Notice the "Kero" box tucked further back.
Kerosine; most likely for the refrigerators.
We always had kero fridges at the homestead, and the woolshed, where a team of shearers had to be accommodated for weeks during the shearing season.

I'm another one who grew up on a farm with no electricity, kero fridge. But a kero fridge was a step up from a bag on a rope down the well which is all we had for the first couple of years.

Here is another photo taken in WA but a bit earlier.

When me and the missus lived in Perth in the 80's, the country towns had their own number plates.
eg: Bunbury could be 'BY 123'.
I don't know where the 'MB' number plates in the picture are from but maybe one of our sandgroper mates know.
These days a mercedes owner would sell a grandchild to get one.
cheers

Hi All,
The bike in the first photo is a pre 38 Ariel Red Hunter, before the alloy rocker boxes came in.

Second bike is a 1923 or 24 BSA model L 350ohv and looks to be in "New" condition
I have the same model and can be fairly certain of the year as the front forks do not have friction discs
The 25 fork links have a bigger diameter at the rear to accommodate small friction discs

Third bike looks to be an M20 ex WD ??

Hi Bian,
Thanks for the photo's  *smile*
They obviously had more faith in the rear stand than I have LOL  *ex*
The stand that came on mine was bent/worn /shagged so it swung all the way round  until the wheel was on the floor again *eek*.. Luckily some guys in the Czech make 100% replacements
