I'm very happy today that the tornado that came through the Chicago suburbs (here, Naperville) last night missed us, but it wasn't by much. An F3 tornado touched down three miles southeast of us after the automated warnings and TV meteorologists told us to take cover. Others were not as lucky, as many houses were completely destroyed among the 150 (or so) damaged. That rotating system had to pass right over our house to get to where it touched down. They're saying winds to 140 MPH. The kind that throw cars around the neighborhood like toys. Pretty sure most members in the U.S. will have heard the news of this, but wondering how far that news might have spread. My sister In Costa Rica knew of it right away.
Anyway, thanks to luck, family is safe and BSA's are in tact.
